In God We Trust on the Back of Quarters
Elizabeth is a former ballerina now ensnared in a corporate arts admin job. She grapples with lingering trauma of sexual abuse that she has trouble articulating to her college partner. Will, back from a failed attempt at becoming a park ranger in California, comes to visit her. During his stay, Will opens up to Elizabeth about his Uncle Curt, a Vietnam Vet. The play then navigates between two intertwining narratives: Will's renewed connection with his Uncle and Elizabeth’s struggle to find peace, creating an exploration of identity and sexuality.
